The 1980s and 1990s saw an explosion of talent, stories, and characters at Marvel Comics and since that time, queer comic fans have been able to find themselves and connect with these creative works as a reflection of their identity. The way in which queer people identify with characters and books will be the subject of this panel hosted by X-Factor Files Podcast co-hosts Daryl Richard Lawrence and Phillip Lundquist as they welcome Marvel Comics veterans Gregory Wright (Silver Sable, Morbius, X-Men: The Hidden Years) and Terry Kavanagh (Web of Spider-Man, Marc Spector: Moon Knight, X-Man), as well as Chad Anderson (Marvel Handbooks), cosplayer Mr. Scott Free, and drag performer extraordinaire D'Manda Martini to discuss how this special time created a foundation that queer folks still turn to for comfort and a sense of belonging.
