This panel will explore the art and technique of drag makeup, focusing on how performers use makeup to completely transform a face and create a character. Panelists will discuss the fundamentals of drag makeup, including selecting the right products, building strong foundations, contouring and highlighting for exaggerated stage features, and techniques for applying and setting makeup so it holds up under lights, sweat, and long performances.In addition, the panel will examine the crossover between drag and cosplay makeup. Many cosplay artists borrow drag techniques to create larger-than-life characters, sharpen facial features, or achieve anime and fantasy proportions. Panelists will highlight how these shared techniques can help cosplayers elevate their looks, whether they are recreating a specific character or developing an original design.
