Sara Gómez Woolley is an award-winning queer Latine illustrator, graphic novelist, and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Her clients include National Geographic, DC Comics, Image Comics, Scholastic, Random House, and Parallax Press. She is the illustrator of Pirate Queens: The Dauntless Women Who Dared to Rule the High Seas and the co-creator, with her mother Leila Gómez Woolley, of the forthcoming graphic memoir Esperancita’s Mostly True Memoirs. Sara is proud to teach at CUNY and to serve on the Board of Directors of the New York Society of Illustrators.
