Mocha Lite is a NYC-based drag queen known for her vibrant performances and dynamic presence in the city’s queer arts and nightlife scene. With roots in Brooklyn, Mocha Lite combines theatricality, musicality, and comedy in her acts, captivating audiences with her unique blend of glamour and wit. She gained recognition for her engaging live performances for over 16 years, including memorable numbers like her mixed media rendition of “Tabula Rasa” By Bjork and many others. Beyond her stage presence, Mocha Lite has also delved into film, playing Reina Princesa in the cult horror-comedy Killer Unicorn (2018), as themself in “Converse Couples” for Nowness.com, and more recently as Val in the upcoming film “Twitterpated”. As an artist, Mocha Lite embodies creativity and resilience, earning accolades such as Brooklyn Nightlife Drag Queen of the Year in 2013 among others. A community advocate, she uses her platform to celebrate queer identity, foster inclusivity, and inspire others through her artistry, which were put to use during one of her career highlights, teaching an 8 hour seminar on the artform of drag and drag performance to a diverse group of students at Parsons New School. Mocha, will often fondly refer to drag as their “favorite sport” and hopes to continue to share their love for the stage and performing arts as long as possible.
