His drag reclaims the binary spaces in the musical industry through his thought leadership and original lyrics. Tuna and Redd Flag produce Transcendence in Astoria, Queens. He hopes “Transcendence” empowers our community to build our own resources and stages for our drag king, drag thing, and burlesque community.

They have moderated panels with Janet Mock, Cynthia Nixon, Peppermint, and Asiahn and have held leadership roles within YouTube Pride at Group.  By night, Tuna Melt is an Astoria Queens based Drag King. He took a class facilitated by his actual biological father, Theydy Bedbug, and was catapulted in existence after participating in the Cake Boys #takesthecake competition, where he placed as the runner-up to the incredible Klondyke. His drag is live and he specializes in rapping and singing. His goal is to build Astoria for Drag Kings and Drag things.
