Hamish Steele is an animation director and comic creator from London. He grew up in Glastonbury, the British centre of of witchcraft, goddesses and folklore. This upbringing bleeds into his work, along with a passion for dark humour and queer representation. His debut book, Pantheon, published by Nobrow in 2017, retold Egyptian Mythology with comedic accuracy. His followup, this year’s DeadEndia: The Watcher’s Test, is the start of an LGBTQ+ focussed, supernatural, all-ages adventure series! He was recently nominated for the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award and is determined to keep making books which represent the diversity of the real world but in fantastical genres.
